Paper Plate Rock Pool Toddler Craft
A lot of our crafts are done at home with just me and LM. Bud has never been much of a crafter and, while he enjoys the odd project, and loves painting, most of our projects have to be suitable for a two year old.
When this month's Bostik Bloggers box of craft supplies arrived we quickly realised it had a distinct underwater theme so LM and I had to get our thinking caps on to work out what to made. We love a paper plate craft in our house so decided to turn one into a rock pool!
You will need:
A Paper Plate (preferably blue but not essential as you can cover it)
Blue and Green cellophane
Bostik Blu Stick
Fish themed stickers
Piece of sponge
Blue glitter
Sand
Cover your paper plate in Bostik Blu Stic glue and then stick on a sheet of blue cellophane. Trim off the excess, it doesn't have to super neat as it's meant to be a rock pool.
Decorate the plate using the fish stickers.
Cut fronds of seaweed from the green cellophane and stick these to your rock pool to look like sea weed.
Apply more Bostik Blu Stick to your plate then sprinkle on sand and blue glitter. Shake off any excess.
LM really loved this craft, it gave us the chance to talk about sea creatures and 'putting them in the water'. She always enjoys crafts which include stickers and, apart from help with the sticking and cutting up she was able to make her on rock pool. It was a fun activity for toddlers.
Disclosure: I am a member of the Bostik Craft Bloggers Network and was supplied with a box of craft materials for this post.
