New Maternity Massage Oil From Weleda - Giveaway

I'm spoiling all of my mum to be readers at the moment as I have another lovely giveaway which will hopefully keep pregnant women in their third trimester. Weleda are probably my favourite skincare brand and I've used their products for many years on both myself and my children. From the Wild Rose range, through to Skin Food, and the terrific Mother and Baby Calendula range I know that the Weleda name is a sign of quality, natural products which are ethical and sustianable and wonderful to use.

Weleda Perineum Massage Pregnancy Maternity Oil

Weleda have launched a brand new product for mums to be. This product targets an area that we ladies don't like to think about in the run up to giving birth but studies have shown that “timely and regular perineal massages reduce the likelihood of perineal tearing or cutting during childbirth”* Furthermore, by undertaking the massage a mother can get into touch with her body, helping to understand what needs to happen during labour and helping to make the whole process less daunting.

With this in mind Weleda have created their own unique blend of massage oil for that most sensitive of areas. It contains a mix of carefully selected essential oils for the late stages of pregnancy. Clary Sage, containing Sclareol, which helps to relax the perineum tissue and add a gentle aroma. This blends beautifully with the gentle almond oil to create a natural scent, especially useful in pregnancy when your nose can be extra sensitive to fragrance.

The oil has been developed with doctors and midwives and is recommended for use from the 34th week of pregnancy, it is suggested that you should massage 3-4 times a week for 5-10 minutes (a leaflet is included in the pack which will guide you on this) and it works best after a warm shower when your muscles are relaxed. Perineum massage doesn't work for everyone but never fear, this oil can also be used as a massage oil to pamper your bump in late pregnancy.

Weleda's Perineum Massage Oil is free from any artificial additives and mineral oils or petroleum derivatives, it is available from March at weleda.co.uk and boots.com and natural heallth stores nationwide, priced at £7:95 for 50ml.

I've teamed up with Weleda to give away a bottle of the new oil to one of my lucky readers, I'm sure you all know a pregnant lady who needs time to relax and prepare for labour.
