Graco EVO Week: The Graco Evo Junior Baby Seat
As mentioned in my post introducing Graco EVO week, I have been selected to try out the new Graco EVO travel system and share my thoughts with you. I've had the system for a few weeks now and this week I will be writing a number of posts which will talk you through every detail of the travel system. We'll start with the carseat. The Graco Evo Junior Baby seat is suitable from birth to 13kgs and is rear facing. It has a three point harness and side impact protection. It also features a handle for easy transfer between home, car and Graco Evo stroller base.It is available in the same colourways as the Graco Evo - Chili, Sand, Lime and Charcoal
You open the box to find the car seat and an adapter which will allow you to fit it onto the Graco Evo stroller base. The car seat has a padded liner inside to make it comfortable for the smallest of babies. This car seat is also compatible with the Graco Junior Baby Car Seat base which allows you to fix your car seat into the car without using seatbelts (this is sold separately). We already had the base from our old Graco travel system and were delighted to find that this new car seat would fit into it,. It provides a hassle free, yet secure way of using the car's seatbelt to secure the base and simply pop the seat in and out with a simple click.
The car seat is largely black but has the same Chili red harness pads and hood as the Graco Evo stroller. It is a really attractive design and fits simply onto the base using the adapter.
In order to use the car seat on the base you clip the adapter onto the base with the clips facing down and towards the parent. You then simply slide the car seat on to the adapter. It is possible to put the adapter on to the base upside down if you aren't careful but you can't fix the car seat on if you do that so it soon becomes obvious.
The car seat and the stroller baae combine to male a really compact, easy to manoeuvre travel system. The stroller base, which I'll tell you more about tomorrow, folds really small so, if you are travelling with a lot of luggage or shopping this is a great way to maximise your boot space.
We're really enjoying using the Graco Evo Junior Baby Seat. Little Miss looks really comfortable. I really like that the car seat has a liner rather than a head hugger, it seems more effective at keeping a baby snug.
